How the four fit together
Stances come first: they decide where your weight sits, and therefore how much of your body a technique can borrow. Moves are what that base delivers — punches, strikes and kicks, each with its own striking surface. Blocks are the same mechanics turned around, meeting an attack instead of making one. Kata bind all three into fixed sequences you can drill alone, which is why they come last rather than first.
