Step-by-Step Execution

Follow these steps to perform the Chudan-mae-geri correctly

  1. Bring the knee of the striking leg up above the navel

    First step in chambering the kick

  2. Kick forward, striking opponent's stomach or solar plexus with ball of foot

    Be sure to keep toes bent back to avoid injury

  3. Lean backwards approximately 25° to maintain balance

    Chest should be slightly concave and chin tucked into your neck
